Our parent company wins Hospitality Group of the Year

Our parent company, Iliad Group, has won Hospitality Group of the Year at Liverpool’s inaugural Lifestyle & Hospitality Awards.

Thursday 10 September 2015 marked the launch of a new award ceremony founded by business-to-business membership organisation Downtown Liverpool to recognise organisations that play an instrumental role in the city’s flourishing lifestyle & hospitality sectors.

Iliad Group is responsible for establishing some of Liverpool’s most exciting dining concepts since 2003, having earned their reputation in the city’s hospitality sector due to an exceedingly passionate commitment to meeting a real demand from the people of Merseyside for high quality, entertaining dining experiences.

Iliad Group comprises popular venues: Sapporo Teppanyaki, Il Forno Italian Restaurant, P&D Italian Deli, as well as us here at Manzo Grill House in Liverpool One.

Group Leisure Operations Director, Theo Tsiolas, commented on the achievement:

“We were delighted to have been included in a shortlist alongside such industry identities as Thai Leisure Group, Individual Restaurants, Living Ventures, and The Know Collection – whose respective venues have become recognised brands among Liverpool’s plethora of eateries. Most of which have opened within the last 10 years. This makes our win all the more meaningful as it recognises the amount of hard work, genuine passion and determination our team have put in since day one.

“Since we started in 2003, we have had the privilege of not only providing over 150 positions of employment across our venues, we also actively encourage fellow restaurateurs to consider introducing unique, international dining concepts in the immediate vicinity of our flagship Teppanyaki and Italian restaurants, both situated in Iliad Group’s East Village in the RopeWalks.

We see this area as a thriving community which only flourishes further with friendly competition. This tight-knit community really is propelling the city’s bustling leisure offering!”
